180 years ago in 1839,
The Sisters of Mercy came to Naas and started a Primary School. That school still stands today alongside your new school, which is under construction now, in 2019!
The Mercy Convent Primary School still maintains the same dedication to the education of the children in the Naas locality as it did for the parents, grandparents and teachers who were also once proud pupils of the Mercy Convent Primary School.
What will the money raised
be used for?
The Parents Association and teachers are proud to launch the “Buy a Brick” fundraising campaign to supplement the funding provided by the Department of Education, which covers most, but not all of the items required for the new school.
Your donation will assist with the funding of a variety of items for example, classroom fixtures and fittings, ICT equipment, library resources, a portable stage and a sensory garden. Our aim is for the school to be a place where pupils can learn in an enriching and happy environment!
How do I purchase?
Brick cost
Individual Bricks
€50
(Current Pupils, Staff , Past Pupils, In Memory, Relatives and Friends)
Family Bricks
€100
Business Brick
€250
We appreciate the support from businesses/corporates who wish to buy a brick(s) and help in our fundraising effort, including parents who own a business or those working for a company who make such a donation as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative.
What you get in return
In return for your generous donation, your chosen text will be placed on a brick on the virtual brick wall of our school website. We will also be unveiling a thank you wall of sponsors when the new school is completed with the names of all those who kindly supported the school build.
We would encourage parents who own their own businesses/ those working for a company, who would like to support the school to please sponsor a business brick.
In recognition of your generous contribution we will display your company/business name on the virtual wall on our website and at a later date, on a wall display of sponsors in a prominent position in the new school.

If you complete your purchase of a brick(s) before the 12th April 2019, you will be entered into a draw for a €250 Naas Town gift card!
Thank you for making history with us!
Payment Options
Online Payment with Easy Payments Plus:
You have the option to buy your brick(s) and to pay online with a debit/credit card via Easy Payments Plus. You can nominate script for your brick(s) during the purchase on the Easy Payments Plus platform. You will receive an automated receipt from Easy Payments Plus indicating the number of bricks you purchased, the text you requested on them and the total amount donated. Cash/Cheque (N.B. can only be sent into school on Fridays)
Cash or crossed cheques should be made payable to Mercy Convent Primary School Naas, and returned with the completed hard copy order form to your child’s teacher. Please place both in the “Buy a Brick” envelope in which you received the order form, seal the envelope, write your child’s name and class on the front and return to the class teacher on a Friday(only) for collection by the Parents Association. Your child will receive a signed copy of the order form as a receipt.
Customise Your Brick
If you are buying multiple bricks to support the school you may choose to display just one brick with just one name or display all bricks bought with individual names e.g. current/past pupils’ names OR family name OR current/past teachers OR In Memory of a Loved One OR your name as a friend of the school. If you want to include the years of attendance at the school, you may, but this is not required.
